Reflections on Online Teaching

This year, perhaps more than any other, I focused my teaching on making genuine connections with as many of my students as I could. I think online learning can sometimes feel very isolating, especially for a challenging course like statistics. It was very important to me to have a personal connection, to let each student know that I was there for them, that I understood their challenges, and that I cared about their success. Being nominated for this by my students is really the highest form of appreciation that I could ask for!
